What people say about Star Gardens
Established for over 30 years, Star Gardens has welcomed many clients, their families and friends. Here is what a few of them had to say about us.
My father Mick Benstead suffers severely from Parkinsons Disease and has only very limited mobility and is very fortunate to receive a level 4 package delivered by Star Community. My mother Philomena Benstead is Dad’s primary carer and has her own health issues and Mum receives a level 2 package which is also delivered by Star Community. The level of care provided by the carer that comes to Mum and Dads home each day is outstanding. This carer is a true professional in the way she carries out her duties but equally as important she is very kind and caring and I feel totally at ease with her caring for my parents. Without this support my father would have to enter permanent residential care and this would be devastating to both my parents after 55 years of marriage.
We have never seen such a lovely, well run nursing home such as Star Gardens. Wonderful staff and surroundings. Lovely gardens. Excellent meals
It is a very difficult transition to go from a fairly independent lifestyle into unfamiliar surroundings, be with different people and allow them to take care of you. Aunty settled in quiet quickly to our surprise and is doing very well thanks to your concern and care. The staff have always been happy and supportive, her surroundings always fresh and clean. She has always been well dressed and comfortable and well stimulated with various activities and outings.
We know that Aunty is very happy here, as she speaks of her carers with great affection and calls the home her very own country manor.”
My husband spent several years as a resident of Star Gardens during his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was at all times treated with respect and excellent care in very pleasant surroundings. I would have no hesitation in recommending Star Gardens to any prospective resident. Yours faithfully, Lyn Dickman
This is just a short note of thanks for all the care and hard work that the staff and carers of Star Gardens have provided for my Husbands Mother Edna Hockey for the last 2 years. I searched out other places of care when his Mum became ill and was having difficulties in caring for herself though most were clean and had the outward signs of being hands on they just did not come close to the feeling of homeliness and sense of individual care that Star Gardens showed and is showing in the ongoing care of our Mum. I just wanted to share how much we the family appreciate this as it also provides us with the knowledge that the care given is genuine in its practice as well as theory. Your communication is always open and friendly any questions are dealt with promptly and any ideas from us are taken seriously. Thank you, Mrs Astrid A Hockey
