    You will be visited by one of our registered nurses for an initial consultation and assessment in your home or hospital room.

  • Tailored care plan

    During the initial consultation, we will explain our specialised services and develop a personalised care program tailored to meet your specific needs. Your care plan will be overseen by a registered nurse.

    The care plan you agree to may include:

    • The exact types of services you will receive
    • Who will provide which services
    • How much involvement Star Community will have in managing and coordinating your services
    • When your services are delivered (for example, which day of the week)
    • How much you will pay.

    As your requirements may vary over time, your care plan will be regularly reviewed and updated.

Medical & Social Appointments

Keeping up with appointments outside the home is key to ensuring independence for older Australian adults. Our home carers assist clients with scheduling medical appointments, maintaining a social calendar and transporting clients to appointments.


Transport is key to helping you maintain your independence while living at home, maintaining your access to key services and also your social network.

Our in home care Nurses accompany and transport our clients to personal or doctor’s appointments, religious or cultural events, shopping or even unplanned outings and social catch ups. Our carers and car transport service operates in the Scenic Rim region and also across the Gold coast and Brisbane areas by request.

Personal Hygiene & Personal Care

Our in home care provides personal support for everyday activities such as getting in and out of bed, bathing and dressing, to dental hygiene or grooming.

Personal hygiene is one of the most important aspects of caring for the elderly, but also one of the most sensitive areas. Our nurses treat all personal hygiene and care with the upmost respect and compassion.

Maintaining a healthy and nutritious diet for older adults who are maintaining their independence in their own home can be a challenge. Our home carers can provide you or your loved one with assistance in preparing meals so you can rest easy knowing that meals are taken care of and cleaning up afterwards is done.

We are happy to discuss any medical or dietary requirements that need to be adhered to maintain the upmost level of health for our clients.

Domestic Cleaning

Our in home carers can assist you iwith your domestic and household jobs like cleaning, clothes washing and ironing.


Our in home carers are available for individualised companionship activities such as visiting, playing cards, reading a book, or sharing a hobby. We can also help care for a pet or take walks in the neighbourhood.


Maintaining and running a household can take lots of work and keeping on top of it can be a constant challenge. Our home carers can help you with laundry services, including bed sheets and linens, towels and your day to day clothing.

Nursing Care

Our qualified nursing staff are available to assist with administering medication, changing dressings, intravenous therapy, pain and symptom management, chronic disease management and therapy, foot care, ventilator care, and serious injury care.
